#ProjectCordoba was an exercise in adding light through color, texture and some serious built in storage. We modernized this space with a linear fireplace, built-in shelves and added a bench seat for extra seating with ample storage drawers in the living room. In the kitchen we updated a stack stone backsplash with a plaster application to brighten the space and make the texture the star of the show. Additionally we created a dual tone by stripping the existing dark stain off the floating shelves and oven cabinetry in addition to building a wood shell for the existing stainless steel hood. Finally we added new lighting and updated furnishings to create a light, bright and beautiful space for a family who loves to cook together & gather as often as possible.
