How to source flagstone for a walking path

Hey Friends!

Today we are taking a look at some of the ingredients for the exterior design of #ProjectSoCalCasa

Enjoy the information shared on our visit with Steve of @KrcRock in the video.

Like many of our neighbors in the various SoCal beach towns we have a small lot. So making the most of every inch of our landscaping design is critical!!

It was important to intentionally design as much green space as possible along the functional walking paths and gathering areas of our yard.

Additionally a flagstone path adds two things:

  1. An organic shape to contrast the straight lines of the home, planters and walls.

  2. Cost savings! Purchasing flagstone that is 1.5-2” thick will allow us to set it in sand, versus pouring a more costly concrete pad for a sidewalk or for mortar set flagstone paths.

We are still a few weeks away from hardscape and landscape install, but please check back from more updates here and on instagram!

Would love to hear what you suggest we plant along this garden path!!

All the best,

Erin
